- Loose stitching
- Discoloration & color transfer

Unused · Pristine
Pristine, mint, unused condition with no prior use. Shown as N in the original LePrix reference.
- Exterior & interior
- No exterior wear or overall signs of use. The lining is free of stains and wear.
- Vachetta leather
- Light beige patina, with no visible aging or wear on leather bindings and trims.
- Piping & leather trim
- No corner-piping wear or creasing on bindings.
- Colored or naturally dyed leather
- No visible wear.
- Coated canvas
- No wear, indentations or marks. An original box, dustbag or protective hardware film may be present; these are not guaranteed accessories.

Pristine · Minimal signs
Pristine, mint condition with no prior use, as described in the source standard. The detailed criteria allow minimal signs as set out below.
- Exterior & interior
- Minimal exterior corner wear, with no significant overall signs of use or wear. The lining is free of stains.
- Vachetta leather
- Light beige patina, with no visible aging or wear on bindings and trims.
- Piping & leather trim
- No corner-piping wear. Minimal or no creasing on bindings.
- Colored or naturally dyed leather
- Corners may have a slightly aged appearance without visible wear.
- Coated canvas
- Very minimal signs of wear, without indentations or marks.

Like new · Briefly used
Like-new pieces that may have been briefly used.
- Vachetta leather
- Slight patina or tanning without visible stains. Minimal creasing at stress points on handles, straps and bindings.
- Corners
- Very slight scratches.
- Exterior
- Minimal wear limited to stress points, without indentations. Coated canvas may show slightly more signs of wear.
- Hardware
- Minor scratches on rings, studs, rivets and zippers.

Lightly used
Almost new at first glance; closer inspection reveals light signs of wear.
- Vachetta leather
- Consistent, even patina that is slightly darker than new. Light wear marks or minor water stains, none overly large or dark.
- Exterior
- Minimal hairline scratches. No indentations on coated canvas or leather.
- Handles & straps
- Minimal scratches or signs of wear. Slight creasing on handles, straps and leather trims.
- Base & corners
- Very light corner wear or minor scuffs, generally not very visible.
- Hardware
- Minor scratches on rings, studs and zippers.
- Interior
- Light cosmetic or storage smells may be present.

Gently used
Signs of wear from multiple uses.
- Vachetta leather
- Lightly tanned or honeyed patina that is even throughout. Small, slightly dark water stains may be present.
- Exterior
- Minor indentations and overall scratches on leather.
- Handles & straps
- Noticeable scratches at stress points. Minor stains or watermarks, generally evenly spread.
- Corners
- Minor scratches or peeling at base corners. In the illustrated example, this wear is acceptable on one or two corners; wear on all four is B. Exposed piping would be B or BC.
- Hardware
- Minor hairline scratches, with the overall finish glossy and intact.
- Lining
- Discoloration on canvas, minimal pen or other stains, and light cosmetic or storage smells may be present.

Used
Regularly worn pieces showing visible signs of use.
- Vachetta leather
- Honey-colored to very tanned patina, mostly even. Watermarks or moderate marks around the base or other areas.
- Handles & straps
- Creasing and stains on vachetta. Creasing, discoloration or stains at leather stress points, while the overall finish remains glossy.
- Hardware
- Hairline scratches on studs, rings, rivets and zippers.
- Exterior
- Indentations on coated canvas, scratches on leather with an overall glossy finish, and visible shape loss.
- Bottom
- Water stains that are not overly large or dark, and scratches across bottom surfaces.
- Corners
- Hairline scratches and potential peeling on non-coated-canvas corners.
- Lining
- Perfume or storage smells and stains on canvas linings may be present.

MATERIAL REFERENCE
Louis Vuitton vachetta leather.
Compare patina and wear across the source grades, including BC. The marks and water-stain rules below are specific to this reference.
Marks shown in the reference
AB: acceptable if not on the front, or if no more than 20% of the vachetta is affected.
B: acceptable if evenly present, or if less than 40% of the vachetta is affected.
Water stains
B: acceptable if less than 50% of the trim is affected.
BC or C: more than 50% of the trim is affected.
BC and C appear only as additional reference labels here. Product grades on this website follow the DS inventory mapping; unassigned ERP conditions are not automatically converted to these grades.
